and I must admit it feels pretty good, despite the apparent chaos.
Last Thursday Elisabeth abandoned Martindale for the delights of home and Pflugerville. pretty brave of her I think. Her boyfriend did the same but he is having to sleep on couches until they resolve their employment situation. However, they are both young and both have experience in areas where there is a demand for them in Houston, so it shouldn’t be too long before they are settled there. In the meantime, we have the joy of Elisabeth, their cat (Nugget)and sometimes James’ company.
On Friday Emily came home for the week and on Saturday we were invited over to Alan’s girlfriend’s aunt’s house (that is where she lives and Alan mainly does). Emily joked with Alan about a marriage proposal but I am sure it has crossed his mind in recent months as he is the born romantic. Alison certainly doesn’t seem adverse to the idea talking about when we get married we will this that and the other! The good thing, the girls like her (after a breaking in period as they are very protective of their only brother). At the moment, however, they are too young to be even considering it( in my opinion). Jeeze, at 19 (Alison’s age) I was only just discovering I could have a life, didn’t even cross my mind to be married! When you think you can live until you are 100 these days, its hard to imagine you could be with that same person for 81 yrs. Yikes! that is a long long time! I doubt I will make it that long but who knows
So today, it was back to semi normal, as Gordon is back to work after the Christmas break. Tomorrow, I am back to Joann’s for a few days. I think I was only scheduled for Wednesday in the frame shop but Josh asked if I would be interested in a few hours tomorrow. Like a sucker I said yes. Still not sure I really want to be at work, we will see how it goes.

At nineteen I was pregnant, with our first, with Don and blissfully happy…no harm in that…its stil the same and has always been.
